Solution Architect Engineer

The SA will utilize the technical acumen to gather and understand a customer's complex issues and technical needs to effectively communicate solutions to improve / solve complex issues.

The SA will be responsible for all technical escalations that require deep investigation and troubleshooting coming from the tier 1/2 support as well as SEs.

As a member of the Solutions Engineering Organization, this position has the unique opportunity to work with multiple customer environments. SAs will work with sales engineers to understand complex scenarios which require deep networking knowledge and help provide the best solution as well as with R&D to improve the product stability and quality.

The SA main interface includes the tier 1/2 support, SE team, Ops and R&D and will position itself as a main focus for all technical issues.

Desired Experience 

• 4+ years experience in a customer-facing environment such as Tier 3 support or Escalations.
• Great troubleshooting skills with good methodological view to solving cases.
• An organized multi-tasker with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to take and own projects to improve and analyze Cotendo network and set the standard for network optimization.

Desired Technical Skills

Detailed knowledge across the spectrum of Internet technologies including:

• Experience with protocol analyzers such as Fiddler, Charles, Firebug, Wireshark, tcpdump etc.  Wget/Curl is a must
• Experience with web performance measuring tools such as Keynote, Gomez, Catchpoint is highly desired

Systems Administrator

The Network Operations team is looking for a junior systems administrator to take over incident management and create automation and improvements to our monitoring. For the first 6 months the role will focus on receiving, addressing, responding and solving technical escalations coming from our automated alerting/monitoring system and therefore getting skilled with our infrastructure and service.

The role will be instrumental in defining processes, procedures and automation that will be utilized by the NOC to take over incident management in the future.
