Cotendo does this via Cotendo whole site delivery, which enables all content from your current web commerce application to be easily delivered through the Cotendo CDN. Web commerce applications are often designed with a secure hosting infrastructure in mind, and are often problematic to interface directly to a CDN that requires a change in output structure and the complexity of managing security from site to user. Unlike traditional CDNs which require static content to be partitioned into a separate CNAME, or static and dynamic content to be physically separated to allow delivery through different systems, Cotendo requires no modification of static and dynamic output from your commerce application, and allows blended delivery of static and dyanmic content through a common secure HTTPS connection.
Dynamic Site Acceleration and Integrated SSL Security
Cotendo offers Dynamic Site Acceleration and SSL security in conjunction with static content cachint from a common delivery platform. Advanced SSL functionality allows you to specify what segment of traffic to secure, from CDN to user, from your origin to CDN, or the full network path from your origin through the CDN to the end user. You may also set up additional different SSL certificates for any of these options, as well as for additional backup or geographically diverse origin servers. Sophisticated content handling eliminates the object duplication and control difficulty that may occur in other solutions. With Cotendo, the same object may be served as part of an SSL session, as well as with regular non-SSL traffic, simplifying object management and reducing the load on the origin server.
Real Time Content Control

Views allow you to set desired behavior with regard to static content caching at global CDN 'edge' points of presence (POPs), accelerated delivery of dynamic content, as well as CDN pass-through delivery of dynamic content without explicit acceleration.
